Eden R. Tesoro, Filipino, is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Underwriting Officer of
Malayan Insurance Company, Inc. She has nearly 3 decades of experience in the nonlife insurance industry. Aside from her role at Malayan, she is currently the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA). Prior to joining Malayan, she was formerly a Vice President and the Property Underwriting Head of the National Reinsurance Corporation of the Philippines (NatRe), where she managed the underwriting of treaty and facultative non-life business from 2014-2017.

She was Chief Underwriter for Federal Phoenix Assurance Company, Inc. (now FPG),
from 2010 to 2014, where she handled underwriting, Direct Sales and foreign business.

She also has experience in broking from her stint at Aon Insurance and Reinsurance
Brokers Philippines, Inc., where she headed the Power, Energy, Natural Resources, and
Utilities Team from 2006 to 2010.

Ms. Tesoro has held several key positions from 1995 to 2006 in various insurance companies in the Philippines, with focus on Underwriting, Business Growth, and Risk Management.

She earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of the
Philippines in Diliman in 1994.
